pixie's place10月23日 what is it that goes through a kid's mind??Have you ever just sat back and watched a child? If not try it and if so do you ever notice that they do the strangest things and it makes you wonder 'what the hell were u thinking?' My kids for example, LOVE to cause trouble and get into shit. about a month ago 3 incidents happened in one week that still makes me scratch my head. First, my now almost 17 month old got a hold of a little 9mL bottle of body shop perfume and drank it. How she got it open in the first place is beyond me. FYI perfume from the body shop is NOT poisonous until some gets into the lungs (as per the poison control centre). I think it might temporarily make someone dizzy cause although gillian was acting ok she get trying to run around and fell everytime. The second incident involved both my girls and a tub of marg. No they didnt eat it but instead decorated themselves and the living room with it. Of all things, margarine. Paint, crayons, markers i can understand but marg?!?!?!?! There was a 1/4 inch layer of it on the coffee table and that doesnt count the couch, walls, carpet, and themselves. By the way that stuff does NOT come off easily. Finally the next day 2 yr old ABigail decide to paint her finger and toe nails with mommy's fav dark blue nailpolish ON THE COUCH!. God damn it!!! Now u may be wondering what brough me to discuss all this well. I was doing some housework and my kids were playing. Now just so u know I keep child proof doorknobs on all doors that are important especially the bathroom. Well Abigail who's not even 3 has found a way to still open them. i went to check on my girls after about 10 mins and what did I see? The 2 of them sitting on the bathroom floor. Abby was playing with my makeup and drawing on the walls and Gillian was chugging back a tube of toothpaste. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! Ok so im done ranting and I hope u all enjoy my little story

ok so let's see...i didnt get the job at the bank but im not giving up. i'm applying for a few correspondence courses so that i may get my insurance license. hopefully i'll find the time to study and it wont take long.
roger is doing his commissionaire thing at the moment and for those of u who dont know what that is well, it's a pompous security guard...lol. when we get back from kitimat he's going for his class 4 unrestricted license and then applying to the correctional prison here in nan.
as for the girls theyre both doing well. abby is getting excited about the trip and all you hear is nanna and poppy for hours on end. also gillian is walking. im so proud of her. she keeps falling but she keeps getting back up again.
sorry this message isnt long but i have to go put abby to bed and besides i have the next 3 days off so i'll write more then.

Ok so today I went and applied at a bank in the hopes of actually doing something with my life. Yes I'm actually going to get off my fat ass and DO SOMETHING!!! Dont get me wrong subway is great and if I found another job I would totally miss the staff but let's face it. I need more in my life if I'm to give my kids everything they deserve. Plus, now I wont be such a useless shit to certain family member, oh u know who u are.
Hey i know that I'm a 24 (almost 25) year old married woman with 2 kids but that doesnt mean that I have to be 100% grown up and either be a mimic of the 1950's version of a housewife or a top career woman. Subway was not an ideal for the rest of my life job but it was good and yes I'm happy there. If I needed time off for anything they gave it to me, when i was pregnant with my second child they were supportive, plus I had a lot of respect. Not many people can have that kind of work atmosphere in the fast food industry. I was/am lucky. The best part, I was able to be myself, no questions asked and no one looked down their noses at me.
I'm not the serious, perfect sounding or looking wife/mom but I am me. From what I've been told I should be acting responsible and serious basically like I have a stick up my ass but know when to laugh. I'm suppose to watch what I say and how I say it (most people dont do that). Plus I'm suppose to behave ina manner which society would deam as befiting a mother. Well guess what society....FUCK U ALL WHO BELIEVE THAT SHIT!!! I'm outgoing and bubbly and carefree and I almost always shove my foot in my mouth. As a parent I havent a clue as to what I'm doing but I would do anything to keep my kids safe and make them happy. I have the sense of humour of a twisted teenager and I'm not about to back down from something when I know I'm right.
As for my looks, well, I generally wear t-shirts with sayings on them or sweats instead of the suits and dresses and "classy stuff" I apparently used to dress like. To those who make comments about that didya ever think why?? Let's see...I have 2 kids who like to make a mess. At least I dont have to worry about getting dirty. I'm comfortable. I'm not slutty or trashy or daring or anything and I dont offend anyone with what I wear so what's the problem?
In case youre wondering what brought all this on it's cause today I realized that I'll be going home to Kitimat in 24 days. Kitimat, being the small town that it is, well, it's very judgemental. When I go hoem I get to spend 2 whole weeks pretending to be something I'm not just to keep the peace and it sucks. And not only that, I get to act ina manner that's not me but then I still get to deal with cristicism about stuff thats either not someone's business or thats not even me. WOHOO!!! Thank god for my sisters.

I know it's been a while since I last wrote in here (sorry I dont keep up with this as much as Andrea). Everyone around here is going good. Abigail is still the same...DAMN THOSE TERRIBLE 2's!!! She may look like me but she gets more and more like her father by the day. She recently got to go on her first boat ride and since then it's been nothing but "boat, boat, grandad, fishing...". Thanx John...
 . Just kidding. Gillian is starting to walk more and more and although she still holds onto stuff she's getting braver. Plus, she's getting 4 teeth in at once..ouch. And she's not very pleasant.... when the pain starts.Roger just finished his BST 1&2 and looks like he'll be back to work soon with the commissionaires. After we get back from the oh so wonderful hole in the ground called Kitimat he's going for his fire-arm licnce and then applying to become a correctional officer. For anyone that knows Roger can u imagine him (especially when he gets mad) as a correctional offer. Actually if it makes him happy I'm all for it. GO ROGER GO ROGER!!! I know he'll be happy to get back to work and especially if he gets to do something he loves then bonus.
As for myself, well same old same old. Work is going good except that my boss is on vacation (sniff sniff) and the person she put in charge of the schedule has be ona 6 day stretch...fuck im pissed!!! I want my luan back (stomps feet on floor like a little girl). Anyway, still trying to figure out what to do with my life once Roger is sorted out, my mon and father in law think I should do the doctor's office secretary. Funny how when my mom suggests it I put up a fight and when my father in law does I actually consider it...lol. Must be the fact I'm a daddy's girl.

4月23日 blah blah blahok so i know it's been a while but i've been busy. my daddy came down this past easter and spent time with myself, roger, and the girls. i swear he had more fun easter morning than they did. He hid the easter eggs and the next morning he helped Abby find them all. He got her to stick them in her rubber boot, which by the way there's still some in there. Also Gillian, who's only 10 and a half months joined in and tried eating the egg with the foil on it. Man it was a fight to get it out. Damn teeth...lol. She bit me at least 3 times. I swear I'll never know what goes through that kids head sometimes. Hey, here's a question if anyone can answer....why is it when a mom watches the kids things get done and the kids stay clean but when dad watches them nothing gets done and they end up filthy??? PLus they always have every excuse in the book. Well, at least my husbband is like that. I love the guy but sometimes I just dont understand him. The past few days when I've come home from work the house is a mess and Gillian is covered in dirt. As cute as she is it still doesnt suit her. |
